Wow. Oscar as a top is amazing. Very amazing.. I love this game. It's one of my favorites. The story is great. Revenge, love, lust, and mystery.. An absolutely brilliant game. Definitely would recommand it to people who enjoy the genre! My personal score is 120/100 and I admit I haven't even finished it. I have only fully explored one character's story (namely Joshua's) and IT IS AMAZING. I've only just finished it but I am going to play it again right away. I loved everything about it. The story is great. The BEs are gorgeously sinister and nihilistic, while the HE is so bright and indeed hopeful. The character design is also wonderful. Though there may be some cliche, they have done it really well and everyone seems really interesting with their own unique psychological fears and needs. I must admit the Korean voice acting put me off a little bit at first, but I suppose that is simply because I am much more used to Japanese games. It took a little bit of time for adjustment but overall it did not affect my gaming experience. And I suppose... it may not be for the faint of heart? I personally love this kind of story but it's probably not for everyone, despite the fact that it isn't THAT dark. It's quite dark; and has elements that are not for everyone's taste. A matter of personal preferece, though I do feel sorry for those that miss out because of such reasons XD[SPOILERS ALERT]The only thing I am less satisfied with is the fact that... some of the plots still have clear potentials that can be developed further. Jealousy is one that I saw another comment mentioning. The plot with Catherine could easily delve deeper, yet it did not. The actual destruction of the house is another that I would love to see, and I was surprised with the rather abrupt ending of Joshua's BE Blood Sacrifice. It was still good, but the dark momentum that was building up until that point was kind of left hanging after the line ended. And I admit I'm just so malicous that I really want like to see Alex using his tools to break the house apart. There are other instances of such slight fustrations. It is a great game, but I just love it so much I want it to be even greater!. Yes yes very nice, victorian dudes smooching each other as part of a revenge plot, 10/10 would unlock all h scenes again. Beyond Eden is basically a gay anime version of Emily Brontë's book Wuthering Heights, though this game is certainly less boring. 10/10 would be a viscious blackmailing bastard set out to destroy everything and everyone he knows all for the sake of revenge again.. This is my first review and English is not my first language, so sorry for any mistakes. Beyond eden is a pretty dark bl game centertered around Alex Wake, a man who dedicated his life to revenge. If you enjoy dark, twisted stories with manipulative, disturbed, cold-hearted, but not entirely unsympathetic protagonist, you probably will enjoy this game as much as I do. Now about the things I liked and didn’t like about this game.Pros:+The main character is so unique and for me, a person who is sick of docile goody two shoes or misunderstood antiheroes, playing as a confident, smart and manipulative protagonist was like a breath of fresh air.+Writing is pretty good. R*pe is treated as r*pe and unhealthy relationships are not presented as healthy.+ Almost every character in this game is full of flaws and that makes them perfectly human and relatable. + CG’s are pretty. + Music is good and suits the atmosphere of the game.+Voice acting during s*x scenes is super intense.Cons:- The only thing I didn’t like about the writing is the excess of r*ape scenes ( some of them were , in my opinion, unnecessary) and rather abrupt ending of “good endings”.- Translation needs to be edited (lots of typos and a couple of missing words).- Backgrounds are kinda plain and dull (maybe the artist meant them to be that way, idk).And guys, I must mention that the majority of relationships in this game are not healthy. The most vanilla routes are Lawrence and Jeremy (who is not really romanceable), so I wold not recommend this game to you if you are not into dark stuff. My personal rating for this game is 8,5/10.. A complex and intriguing story, beautiful sprite/CG art, and real erotic heat mostly make up for weak background art and (especially) an awful translation. Studio Pieplus: please, please, please have a native English speaker edit your next translation! It's not just that the language is stilted; there are places where the translator wrote literally the opposite of the meaning of the original line. You're asking too much for this game to offer something so unprofessional in this respect.. really fun, and great story. i especialy love how each route and ending reveals something new, aswell as a different version of events.
